Did a second POTA activation at K-8325 Millerton Lake State Recreation Area but this time I setup at the top of the boat ramp on the Madera side. This was a much better spot: open sky, repeater coverage, and cell service. These all made a big difference as I was able to communicate and spot my self on the POTA website. Ended up staying on 10m the whole time; worked 16 station on sideband and 17 on FT8 including two stations in Japan. Not bad for operating QRP with the IC-705 at 10 watts. This also gave me a chance to test out my new power meter. I used 1.5Ah out of my 4.5Ah battery.
